The blush brush is perfect for apply blush to your check bones. The deluxe chisel concealer brush is used to do repairs to your makeup. The eye/lip liner brush is used to apply eyeliner or lipstick or lipgloss. The goat's hair kabuki brush is used to apply the ground mineral makeup. The medium eye shadow fluff is used to apply eye shadow above your eye. The sable angle liner brush is used to apply eye liner makeup. They are sold individually or can be purchased as a group for less than the combined price of the six brushes and you save $15.00.
Natural hair brushes seem more expensive, but they last longer. Kabukis should be made of a soft hair that is long lasting, such as goat.
Eye shadow brushes should be a little stiffer, but still soft enough for delicate eye areas. Sable is the choice of most professional makeup artists.
Remember that some makeup will remain on the brushes so if you are going to use a different color you must either clean your brush or use another brush. Some use a different brush for each color used.
All cosmetic brushes should be cleaned no less than once a month. This can be done in two ways. Either with warm water and a gentle soap or mild shampoo or rubbing alcohol can be sprayed liberally and then the brush wiped on a clean soft cloth. This procedure should be repeated until brush is clean. Brushes should be allowed to air dry thoroughly.
